Prof. Dr. Uwe Arnold - Owner and Managing Partner

Uwe Arnold received his M.Sc. (Diplomingenieur) in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering, and his Ph.D in Civil Engineering at RWTH Aachen University. He is professor for Infrastructure Development and –Management at Bauhaus-University Weimar. After a research post-doc at University of California Davis (USA), three years as director of research at RWTH Aachen University, strongly motivated by the challenges of the German Unification, he joined a PPP-Holding (public-private-partnerships) for infrastructure development, related utilities and service companies, finally in the position of the managing director. Among his responsibilities were e.g. industrial parks, residential areas, related traffic, energy, water, and wastewater networks, waste management infrastructure, disposal and recycling plants, facilities for energy supply from renewables, and social infrastructure like daycare facilities and schools. 2006, he founded AHP GmbH & Co. KG in Berlin as managing partner, the nucleus of AHP-Group which today comprises six companies. His consultancy spectrum covers the development of enterprises, cluster organizations and economic zones, organization management, site marketing and development, financing, and project and innovation management. He developed an integrated methodology of techno-economic analysis, risk assessment and project optimization. Moreover, for more than 20 years he has been involved in R&D and academic education in the domain of  integrated sustainable infrastructure development and management with a recent focus on climate protection and carbon-dioxide removal..
